Feeling a little.... Villainous

Sooooo, as many of you know, I've been buying from MAC's Venomous Villains collection! First off, I LOVE this collection. I saw it on Temptalia a while back and I've been obsessed ever since! Now, I bought all of my products in store at MAC's counter in the Macy's at Southlake Mall. Any who, on to the products. First, I LOVE the boxes. Really REALLY LOVE the boxes.

Aren't they pretty????
So, this is EVERYTHING I bought, minus one nail polish. It's getting a blog post of its own. I believe it's kind of obvious about which of the collections I liked the most: Maleficent.
Now for the collections!

Dr. Facilier:

In his collection I picked up three items; both of the Magically Cool Liquid Powder in Cajun and Truth & Light, and the I'm So Vain Mirror for a collectors item.

Now, I have fallen in love with these powders. When you apply them they're light and shimmery, but the really cool part? It feels like you're rubbing water on your face. Seriously. It's refreshing and it cools you off if you're warm. Now, the only down side is that they're shimmery. Not exactly the best look for all over the face in my opinion, but they make an incredible highlight.

Swatch Time!

Yeah, you can just barely see the top swatch, but you can kind of see what I mean about it being so shimmery.

Cruella De Vil:

Now, in the Cruella Devil collection I picked up three more items. {Trend? Maybe. Actually, I just like the number 3} I picked up a lipstick, a Cremesheen in Innocence, Beware!; it's a creamy nude shade that is a pinky nude shade. It really blends into my skin tone well when I wear it, it's just a bit more pink than my natural skin tone. I also picked up an eyeshadow, a matte shade in black, called Carbon. Carbon is the most basic shade and I hardly ever hear of anyone not using this shade in a kit. I really love how it blends out really well. (NOTE: If carbon is too intense for you, get Shadowy Lady from MAC. It's an excellent shade if you can't work with such an intense dark shade.) And, finally, I picked up a blush, a matte shade, called Darkly My Dear. The blush is a beautiful shade that MAC describes as a 'dirty plum brown', which is pretty much the exact shade that is there.

Swatch Time!

Sadly, the GORGEOUS blush didn't really come out that well. It makes me sad.

Evil Queen:

Three more items! Two open pictures for this, because the beauty powder didn't come out too well in the first open package picture. This is another collection that is beautifullllll. The lipstick is a lustre lipstick called Sinister, which is an almost raisin shade with red and gold microshimmer. The beauty powder is Oh So Fair, a barely frosty pinky peach shade. It's so beautiful, but in the swatches it nearly blends into my skin. The eyeshadow is a near indescribable shade, called Vainglorious. In the pan, it's a reddish shade that is frosty and slightly glittery, but on the skin it turns nearly brown with a light red shimmer. I LOVE this shade. I wore it today in a beautiful cat-eye with black eyeliner.

Swatch Time!

Yes, I did swatch the Beauty Powder, but it nearly blends in between the lipstick and eyeshadow.

Maleficent:

Yeeeeep, the BIG haul. I'll go and add again that I do have a nail polish from this collection, but I am not talking about it here. From this collection, I got five makeup items. I got the beauty powder in the shade Briar Rose, which is a lovely pale rose shade. There are two lipsticks, both of them Amplified Creme lipsticks the first shade in the picture is Dark Deed, a deep brown red with shimmer that is nearly the same shade, but with iridescence , the second shade is Violetta, which is a medium purple with a similar iridescence. Now comes the fun stuff! At the end are two mineralized eyeshadows. The first shade is My Dark Magic, which has two segments the first segment is a pink and black shade which is very glittery, the second segment is a black with purple and white veins that is also very glittery. The second shade is She Who Dares, which also has two segments; the first segment is a black veined with white and blue glitter, the second is a black with white and green glitter veins. These two shades are FUN. No lie. I got them today and I can't wait to start wearing them. These shader were practically created to apply damp. Want to see what I'm talking about? Look at these swatches!!!!

Swatch Time!!!!!!!!!

At the ends of the two swatches you can see where I swatched both My Dark Magic and She Who Dares with both shades in dry and wet. If I had actually thought ahead, I would have swatched each shade dry/wet, then the next shade. (Of course, I didn't think ahead ><) So, each shade is swatched dry/dry wet/wet.

I really hoped that you all enjoyed my first attempt at blogging, so if you leave comments, try to be nice and leave constructive criticism! I appreciate it!!!!!!

Love and lipstick,
